Day 2

Yeah!!! My first "X"! I put a calendar up on the wall next to my treadmill to mark my progress! Possibly I should have selected something other than a Betty Crocker one but hey it was free! I posted my weight on Day 1 and I will weigh in on the first of each month. Why only on the 1st? Because weight loss is not my focus...it will just a nice little by-product of this whole process. My diet is not that bad as it stands and I never do very well on any kind of food restriction diet. I don't have time to count points and keep a food journal so in lieu of that I am adjusting my exercise level.

Found my music groove today...Oldies Rock! Nothing like a little Led Zeppelin to get you going in the morning!

Feeling good about this new program. I know it's only day 2 but my body is starting to remember that it likes to exercise! And let's face it thirty minutes a day three times a week to myself is AWESOME! Just me, the treadmill and the music! I think my kids think its a little weird to see me running to some crazy, loud rock music but I'm sure they will get used to this new mom.

Homework for me -- research some upper body workouts to use my rubber bands with. The stronger your upper body is (back, arms and stomach) the easier it is to run!

The workout today: jog-4.5 mph; walk-3.5 mph, alternate 60 second running with 90 seconds walking for 20 minutes. Five minute warm-up walk (3.5 mph); five minute cool down walk(3.0 mph...steadily decreasing to 2.0 mph). Bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, rows-set of 10 each

:) The first thing I noticed was Betty. Get her OUT OF THERE! :)

Look at you go! I love to run to that old music. Guns N' Roses is one of my faves!
So proud of you!

Exciting that you get an iPod for your B-day! You will LOVE it! I use mine ALL the time! I have TONS of music... Let me know, before you buy songs and I can make a disk for you, if you want!
